Run on Sun is a Pasadena-based solar installation and consulting company serving the greater Los Angeles area. All three of our Principals are NABCEP Certified Solar PV Installers, which means we have the education, experience and expertise to make the entire process as easy as it is rewarding. Certified Better than Other Solar Companies
Not all solar installers are alike. Sadly, some solar companies are more interested in generating a sale than they are in your ability to generate solar energy with a reasonable return on investment. As a result, some solar installation companies sell solar power systems that are oversized or poorly designed. Other solar companies simply lack the experience and expertise to provide a proper solar installation that will perform trouble free for years. 1. We will answer your questions — all of them. If you don’t understand something, we haven’t done our job.
2. We will give you our candid appraisal of your site. Unfortunately, not all sites are good candidates for a solar power system. If that is the case with your site, we will tell you. We will also provide you with suggestions for how your site could be improved, if possible.
3. We will never pressure you to buy more than you need. Often times it does not make economic sense to install a system that will “zero-out” your electric bill, but that is what some folks will try to sell you. We will make sure that you have enough information to make an economically sound decision.
4. The quality of our work will be second to none. Unlike some of our competitors (see here), we do not take shortcuts with your system. We understand that this is a major investment that you are making and we want you to be happy with your Run on Sun solar power system for the next twenty years.

Solar Consulting Services

At Run on Sun we design, engineer and install state-of-the-art solar power systems for residential and commercial clients.  We also offer maintenance contracts, typically purchased in five-year increments, for our systems as well as those installed by others.  This is particularly beneficial for clients in the greater-Pasadena area who have had a system installed by a company that is not local or which has since gone out of business.

We also offer a variety of solar consulting services.  We have served as a solar consultant for both residential and commercial clients in assessing the performance of existing solar power systems.  Run on Sun's proprietary methodology allows us to do a real-time solar performance analysis of existing systems, thereby allowing both system owners and regulators to assess their actual Return on Investment.

We have worked as a solar consultant with a number of cities and utilities to aid them in refining their rebate programs and to evaluate systems installed by other companies for compliance with rebate applications. 

We also offer expert witness services regarding best practices in the residential and commercial solar power industry.
